Barry Thompson

Pass Game Coordinator & Quarterbacks

Varsity Football

Coach Barry Thompson is entering his 13th season as a High School Football Coach and his 2nd season as a member of the Wildcat Coaching Staff. Before joining the Centreville Coaching Staff last fall, Coach Thompson was the QB Coach at Robinson Secondary and spent two seasons at Flint Hill High School (Oakton, VA). Prior to his stint at Flint Hill, he coached at Woodberry Forest School. Coach Thompson also spent four seasons at W.T. Woodson High School (Fairfax) where he coached QBs and was the Head JV Basketball Coach. Coach Thompson began his high school coaching career as a Defensive Coordinator at Flint Hill High School. In addition to his in-season coaching experience, Coach Thompson has been the Offensive Coordinator/QB Coach for a USA Football International Bowl Game Team, QB Coach for USA Football National Development Teams and has served as a QB Coach on the Elite 11 QB circuit. Before becoming a high school football coach, he was the commissioner for the Fairfax Police Youth Football Club (FPYC) and was voted the FCYFL Commissioner of the Year. Coach Thompson is currently a professional QB Trainer (Fairfax Football Academy) where he actively trains 130 youth to college age QBs. In college, Coach Thompson was a two-time All-ODAC Defensive Back and was honored with the Lee M. McLaughlin award at Washington & Lee University (Lexington, VA) where he studied Business Administration. Coach Thompson and his wife Cindy attended Washington-Lee High School (Arlington, VA), have two children, Leila and Miles who reside in Richmond, VA, and look forward to celebrating their 26th year of marriage this April. They currently reside in Fairfax City.
