This is Coach Shields fourth year as Head Coach of the Wildcats. Before coming to Centreville Coach Shields spent nine seasons at Westfield High School serving as both Offensive and Defensive Coordinator where he was a key component in their three straight Virginia 6A State Championships. Prior to coaching and teaching in Fairfax County, he coached at the collegiate level for ten years most notably at Virginia Tech, Duke and Elon with stops at Hampden-Sydney and Illinois State. Coach Shields holds a Bachelor and Master Degree in Education from Virginia Tech. Previously, he has worked at the youth level serving the community as a coach in SYA for many years. Jon, his wife, and three sons live in Centreville and are excited to be a part of the Wildcat family.
