Centreville was hoping to start the regular season on the right foot with a win. Caleb Brooks lead the team out on the field. The captains for today’s game were Jameel Siler, Isaiah Culver, Dylan Cooper, and Kobie Turner. Annandale won the toss and elected to receive. The kickoff went for a touchback and Annandale punted in 4 downs. Centreville started the game on Annandale’s 46 yard line. Mark Brown ran for 35 yards. In two more rushes Centreville would score from a 4 yard run by Julian Garrett and Tyler Gornak would kick the extra point. Annandale would receive the ball again and go 4 and out. Centreville caught the ball at the 44 and scored in two plays. Julian Garrett had a 36 yard touchdown run. Tyler Gornak made the extra point. Annandale had another 4 and out. Centreville caught the ball at the 44. Jameel Siler had a huge run on 2^nd & 21 to gain a first down. The drive however would end with a missed field goal. Annandale received the ball back but the 1^st Quarter ended with the score of 14-0.  

                Annandale started the second quarter with the ball but punted soon after. Centreville started their drive at their 41 yard line. Mark Brown had a 42 yard run but some of it was taken back due to a penalty. The drive however would end in an interception. The good news was that Annandale punted in 4 plays to give Centreville the ball at the 38 yard line. Centreville would put together a nice drive and take time off the clock. The drive was capped off by a 9 yard touchdown run for Julian Garrett. Annandale would receive the ball back, but the clock expired and the half ended 21-0.

                Centreville received the ball at the 21 yard line. The highlight of the drive was Jameel Siler completing a long pass to Isaiah Culver. The drive ended with another touchdown run for Julian Garrett. This time it was a 1 yard run. Mark Brown however had over 100 yards rushing in the game. The PAT was good making the score 28-0. The kickoff was recovered by Centreville after a great kick. Centreville would score again. This time it was in 6 plays. Julian Garrett had another touchdown run making the score 35-0. Annandale received the ball and put together a drive but eventually turned the ball over on downs. Presley Egbers came in at quarterback for the rest of the game. He fumbled the ball on the first play but quickly recovered it and was great for the rest of the game. The third quarter ended 35-0.  

                On the drive Centreville converted a 3^rd & 9 and a 4^th & 6. The drive ended in a Chase Burch 11 yard touchdown run. The PAT was good making the score 42-0. Annandale received the ball, but they turned it over on downs. The game ended 42-0. The offense was great but the defense was amazing. Nothing got past them and Annandale couldn’t put a drive together.

                The fans were great though out the game supporting the cheerleaders, band, dance team and of course the football players. Centreville next game is September 9^th at Fairfax High School. Their next home game is 9/23 against Tuscarora.
