Centreville was hoping to continue their winning streak and continue to the next round.  Centreville was facing 4^th ranked South Lakes. The captains for the game were Dylan Cooper, Raphael Walker, Marco Tillard and Carter Egbers.  Centreville received the opening kickoff but they were forced to punt. Centreville forced South Lakes to punt after Carter Egbers and Marco Tillard combined for a sack of the South Lakes Quarterback. Centreville would get the ball back but the clock would expire before their drive was over. The score at the end of the 1^st quarter was 0-0.

Centreville would be forced to punt after a few more plays.  South Lakes would be forced to punt as well after Caleb Brooks batted down a pass. Centreville got the ball back and they put together a drive. After 1 first down, Deonte Edmonds ran for 13 yards and a first down. Centreville would make it to the 40 yard line after 12 plays, but they would be forced to punt on 4^th down. South Lakes ran a few plays and then they attempted a pass. Raphael Walker intercepted the pass and returned about 10 yards. On Centreville’s first play of the drive Julian Garrett was given the ball. He used his speed and ran for 63 yards and the touchdown to give Centreville the lead. The sere was 7-0 with 2:11 left.  On South Lakes next drive, Centreville almost had another interception after Carter Egbers tipped the pass and Marco Tillard almost caught it.  The half would end after Marco Tillard sacked the quarterback in the backfield. The half ended 7-0 with Centreville leading.

South Lakes received the opening kickoff. They would be forced to punt and Centreville would get the ball on the 21 yard line. After one first down, Deonte Edmonds got the ball on the 35 and ran for a 65 yard touchdown. Tyler Gornak’s PAT was good making the score 14-0. South Lakes would score on their next drive making the score 14-7 with 2:22 left in the 3^rd quarter. Centreville would be forced to punt and the clock would expire. The score at the end of the 3^rd quarter was 14-7 Centreville.

South Lakes would be forced to punt. Centreville would get the ball at the 9.  A controversial call happened on the next play, and South Lakes was awarded a safety.  South Lakes would get the ball and score. However, they would miss the two point conversion making the score 15-14 with 7:09 left. On Centreville’s next drive, Jameel Siler would catch a pass from Jameel Siler for 32 yards. South Lakes however would get the ball back a few plays later. They would score again making the score 22-14. On Centreville’s first play they did a triple reverse lateral play. Presley Egbers got the ball back and threw it to Mark Brown for the 75 yard touchdown pass.  They attempted a two point conversion but they didn’t make it. The onside kick was recovered by South Lakes and the game was over. The final score was 22-20 Centreville.

 The players fought until the last play and never gave up. They played an amazing season with many amazing plays. This game could have gone either way and it just went the wrong way. Centreville had a miraculous season and proved many people wrong after the season before.  It was so great o watch them play and good luck next year.
