CVHS CHEER EVALUATION INFORMATION

   CVHS CHEER EVALUATIONS begin Monday, August 2, 2021, and conclude with TEAM SELECTIONS on Thursday, August 5, 2021.  

The following forms are required to be turned in BEFORE evaluations!  Forms can be found under Team Files:

  1. VHSL Physical (dated after 1 May 21, and signed by parents, athlete, and physician)
  2. Emergency Care Card
  3. CVHS Cheer Application
  4. Signature Page - Concussion Education (must be signed by athlete and one parent)

   Attendance:

Attendance at all four days of CVHS Cheer Evaluations is mandatory for all athletes.  If placed onto the JV Cheer Team, athletes are required to attend all practices and games.  If placed onto the Varsity Cheer Team, athletes are required to attend choreography, practices, and games.  

   Evaluation Week Schedule:

  • Evaluation Day 1 / CVHS Cafeteria / 5 pm to 8 pm (arrive at 4:45 pm)
  • Evaluation Day 2 / CVHS Cafeteria / 5 pm to 8 pm  (arrive at 4:45 pm)
  • Evaluation Day 3/ CVHS Cafeteria / 5 pm to 8 pm  (arrive at 4:45 pm)
  • Final Evaluations / CVHS Cafeteria /10 am until finished  (arrive at 9:45 am)

   Evaluation Attire:

Athletes are expected to have a neat and polished appearance each day of evaluations!

  • Evaluation Day 1:  Appropriately sized t-shirt or tank top (any color), shorts (any color), sports bra, no show white ankle socks, and cheer tennis shoes (cheer bow optional)
  • Evaluation Day 2:  Appropriately sized t-shirt or tank top (any color), shorts (any color), sports bra, no show white ankle socks, and cheer tennis shoes (cheer bow optional)
  • Evaluation Day 3:  Appropriately sized t-shirt or tank top (BLACK), shorts (BLACK), sports bra, no show white ankle socks, cheer tennis shoes, and a cheer bow
  • Final Evaluations:  Appropriately sized t-shirt or tank top (WHITE), shorts (BLACK), sports bra, no show white ankle socks, cheer tennis shoes, and a cheer bow
    • Hair must be pulled back clean/tight with no hair hanging in the face.  A cheer bow, scrunchie, or ribbon may be worn.
    • No acrylic fingernails or dark nail polish is allowed.
    • ALL jewelry must be removed.
    • Assigned number must be worn on the final day of evaluations.

CONCUSSION EDUCATION

  Concussion Education training MUST be completed by every athlete and one parent before the start of CVHS Cheer Evaluations.  Concussion Education training is in PAPER format and can be found under Team Files. 

Instructions:

  • Review the Concussion Training presentation.
  • Fill out the Signature Page - Concussion Education form.
  • Give the signed Signature Page - Concussion Education form to the CVHS Cheer Head Coach.  The form may be scanned and emailed to the CVHS Cheer Head Coach at cvillehscheer@gmail.com.
