Tryout Skills: The listed skills must be performance ready for Varsity placement.

• Double Pirouettes
• Calypsos
• Turning Discs
• Turns in second
• Special skill of your choice (Ex. Triple or quad pirouette, changing spot turns in second, drop tilt, leg hold turn, etc.)

Wednesday, June 21st, 2017 - CVHS Cafeteria, 7-9pm

Friday, June 23rd, 2017 - CVHS Cafeteria, 7-9pm

Saturday, June 24th, 2017 - Centreville Dance Academy, 8:30-10:30am

?What to Expect:

Days 1 & 2 - Dancers will learn a pom sideline, a short jazz routine, and will work on the required tryout skills.

Day 3 - Dancers will perform the pom sideline, jazz routine, and the tryout skills listed above before a panel of judges.  

What to Wear:

Days 1 & 2 - Black dance shorts, solid color fitted top*, tan or black jazz shoes (tights are optional), hair secured out of face.

Day 3 - Black dance shorts, dance/performance fitted top* of your choice, tan tights, tan or black jazz shoes, hair and makeup “game day ready!”

*Please respect the FCPS dress code when choosing tops.

The Centreville Dance Team traveled to the University of Virginia to attend UDA Summer Camp. On the first night of camp, the Dance Team competed in the Home Routine Competition with other talented high schools from around the Commonwealth. The Dance Team placed first in the Home Routine Competition and took home a Superior Trophy to qualify for the National Dance Team Championship! The Dance Team also won the Leadership Award, as voted on by the campers, a Super Spirit Stick, and a Team Full Out Award for Team Routine. The Dance Team had a fabulous time at camp and can't wait to get started on the new season!
