Centreville 3 Hayfield 0 3/31/16 The Centreville’s girls’ team was hoping to continue their win streak and beat Hayfield. Centreville’s starters were Caroline Barnes, Lindsey Hendrickson, Katie Le, Grace Mondloch, Jam Odeh, Cassidy Brown, Rachel Fisher, Casey Peterson, Ashley Anderson, Lexi Littlefield and Nastassia Tiangco. Centreville kicked the ball off and had the first chance of the game. Hayfield committed a foul and Centreville got a free kick but the shot was wide of the goal. The next opportunity was a free kick from Ashley Anderson but the shot went straight to the goalkeeper. The next opportunity turned into a goal. Centreville crossed the ball in and it took a deflection of a Hayfield player and Katie Le tapped the ball into the net. Centreville had all the chances in the first half. Katie Le had a great run of play where she ran down the side and skilled to the middle of the box. However this chance was not converted. Centreville had another great chance when they had a free kick and the ball bounced off the crossbar and Hayley Winter pressured for it but was taken out by the goalie. Centreville had the last shot of the half from Kat Bennett and the half ended 1-0. Hayfield kicked off but Centreville had the first chance of the second half. Lindsay Hendrickson took a free kick which was deflected out for a corner. Lindsay Hendrickson also took the corner which went out for a throw in. Centreville had another free kick which was taken by Ashley Anderson. This free kick hit wall but the rebound was crossed in and missed by the goalie. Centreville could not score as the angle was too hard. Hayfield had one or two chances but Then Centreville scored another goal. Hayfield passed the ball back to their goalie vut Casey Peterson took the ball and scored into an open net. Hayfield got a yellow card and soon after the yellow card Centreville scored the last goal of the game. Kylie Martino passed to Abby Mayer who scored in the bottom left corner and made the score 3-0. The game ended 3-0. The fans loved the game and the team tried to the last second even though they were winning 3-0.
