Centreville 1 Robinson 1 4/4/16 Centreville was hoping to continue their 3 game winning streak against Robinson. The starters for Centreville were Caroline Barnes, Katie Le, Grace Mondloch, Aleigh Gambone, Jam Odeh, Cassidy Brown, Rachel Fisher, Casey Peterson, Ashley Anderson, Lexi Littlefield and Nastassia Tiangco. Robinson kicked the ball of to start and had the first chance but he pass went out for a goal kick. Both Robinson and Centreville and chances leading up to a shot by Robinson and goalie Caroline Barnes came up to a huge save. Right before that chance Aleigh Gambone had a great run including a nutmeg but the shot went out for a goal kick. A few minutes after Robinson’s chance, Robinson had a counter attack and the ball went out for a throw in. On that throw in the ball went into the box and Robinson scored. Caroline Barnes came up with another huge save when coming out to the 30 yard line and clearing the ball. A few chances for both teams but the best chance came from Aleigh Gambone who received the ball and chipped it over the keeper but the ball was just a little wide of the goal. Robinson had a few more chances to end the 1st half 1-0 to Robinson. Centreville started the half with the ball. Robinson had the first chance for the half but Centerville had many chances after that. Centreville had throw-ins, Free kicks, corner kicks and shot from open plays across the entire second half. Robinson and Centreville both had chances that could have changed the game but both goalkeepers were on fire and would not let anything pass them. Centreville in the last few minutes pass the ball to Katie Le who made contact with the goalie and both were shaken up on the play. Katie Le stayed in the game but Robinson goalie had to come out. In the last few kicks of the game Katie Le received the ball and shot and the ball slide right under the goalie and into the back of the net to tie the game on the last kick and send it into Overtime. The game in regulation ended 1-1. In the first period of overtime Centreville had two chances and Robinson had 1 and the first half of overtime ended 1-1. The second half of overtime Robinson started with the ball but Centreville had the only chances. The first chance came from a 1, 2 between Katie and Aleigh. Centreville had a few throw-ins and one corner where the goalie made a great save. Centreville’s last chance was from a corner kick but the referee blew the whistle before Centreville could get a shot off.
