Centreville was coming off a tough loss to Chantilly and hoping to rebound against Herndon. The starters for Centreville were Marcus Mack, Patrick Fuller, Sahil Mehta, William Unterkofler and Brendan Doyle. Centreville won the tip off but Herndon scored the first points of the game. Centreville responded with two two-pointers in a row to take on of their own leads of the game. Herndon quickly cancelled that lead after making 4 consecutive free throws. Herndon scored six straight points after 2 from Centreville to increase their lead. William Unterkofler made his two free throws to end Herndon’s 6-0 run. Herndon hit the first three of the game and Centreville hit a two pointer to end the quarter at a score of 16-10 Herndon.   

The second quarter started with a Herndon three pointer but William Unterkofler took the momentum right back with a huge dunk. Herndon went on another run this time and scored 8 consecutive points. Centreville then responded with a 7-0 run of their own capitalized by a Marcus Mack three pointer.  Centreville and Herndon went back and forth of the rest of the half, and Centreville managed to cut Herndon’s lead by one point. The score from the end of the first half was 32-27 Herndon. 

The third quarter started with Centreville scoring the first points of the second half, but Herndon took the momentum away with a three pointer. Centreville and Herndon traded two pointers for a little bit until Herndon stated to pull away. Herndon went on a 14-4 run to end the quarter with the score of  58-40. 

Centreville again scored the first points of the quarter and started off strong scoring the next few. Herndon then scored one and the game was over from there. Centreville scored a few more times and so did Herndon and the margin was just too big. The game ended 71-59 Herndon.

The fans enjoyed the game and cheered for Centreville. The team did not give up and still played hard in the 4th quarter showing their strength once again. Centreville plays away vs Westfield on Friday and away vs Robinson next Tuesday. Their next home game is next Friday against Oakton.
