Centreville was coming off a loss to Robinson and hoping to rebound against Oakton. The starters for the game were Patrick Fuller, Marcus Mack, Sahil Mehta, Will Unterkofler and Brendan Doyle. Oakton won the toss and eventually scored the first points of the game with a three pointer. However before that happened Will Unterkofler blocked a shot from Oakton. Centreville quickly responded with a pass from Patrick Fuller to William Unterkofler who scored a huge basket. Oakton hit another 3 pointer but that was quickly canceled by Patrick Fuller who scored a three of his one. Oakton scored two 2 and then Patrick Fuller hit another 3 pointer. Oakton committed two fouls and Christian Brooks got a steal to end the quarter at a score of 8-8.  

Oakton started the quarter on a 10-0 run that gave them a huge lead. This included 3 two pointer, one three pointer and one free throw. Sahil Mehta ended Oakton’s drive and scored two points. Oakton scored another three pointer and the quarter ended with two pointers from Brendan Doyle and Oakton. The quarter ended with Oakton leading 23-12.

The third quarter started with two pointers from William Unterkofler. Oakton scored two back to back 2 pointers and then Will Unterkofler scored 2 two pointers. Sahil Mehta scored a 3 pointer which Oakton quickly responded with a three pointer of their own. The rest of the quarter with pretty much back and forth and Centreville could not get the lead much closer. The highlight of the quarter was a pass from Patrick Fuller to Will Unterkofler who dunked the ball with one hand. Oakton scored the last points of the quarter to extend the lead to 9 points. The score at the end of 3 quarters was 39-30.

Oakton scored the first points of the quarter with a free throw shot and two points after that. Will Unterkofler scored 2 two pointers which were spilt by a two pointer for Oakton. Oakton dominated in the last quarter scoring 16 points compared to Centreville’s six points. The game ended 61-40 Oakton.

The fans were in to the game from the start and continued to root for their team. The team plays Westfield tonight (2/11) and hopes to rebound against their rivals.
