Centreville was hoping to start 2017 off on the right foot with a win. The starters were Nathaniel Goldhammer, Caleb Emeogo, Brendan O’Shea, Bryce Douglas, and Tyler Lohman. Tyler Lohman won the tip off and Bryce Douglas scored 3 seconds giving Centreville a quick lead. Centreville didn’t look back. Tyler Lohman would score Centreville’s next points. Falls Church would score a three but then Centreville went on a run. Centreville would score 14 straight points including a three by Tyler Lohman and A nice play by Bryce Douglas. Falls Church and Centreville would both score a few more times to end the first quarter. The 1st quarter ended 20-12 in favor of Centreville.

Falls Church stated with the back and would score the first points on two free throws. Jason Ebright would extend Centreville’s lead with two points. Centreville and Falls Church would trade points including two two-pointers by Ahmad Ghousheh. Caleb Emeogo would score the next points for Centreville. Falls Church would score again, but Centreville would end the half on a 6-0 run including 2’s by Nathaniel Goldhammer, Ahmad Ghousheh, and Marcus Mack. The half would end with the score of 32-25 in favor of Centerville.

Centreville started with the ball and would score the first points with a Vinny Thota three pointer. Falls Church would score next with the free throws but Christopher Martin would score a two for Centreville.  The rest of the quarter was back and forth basketball. Centreville scored and then Falls Church scored. However, Vinny Thota scored two three pointers to extend Centreville’s lead. The third quarter would end with Bryce Douglas scoring a free throw. The quarter ended with a score of 55-42 Centreville. 

Falls Church started with the ball. Centreville would score the first points of the quarter with a 2 pointer from Bryce Douglas. Ahmad Ghousheh would score the next points for Centreville extending Centreville’s lead. The rest of the game was mainly fouls by either team. Falls Church would end the game with a three pointer. The final score was 73-59.
